Are You A Complainer?
The first time of any mention of complaining in the Bible is found in the book of Numbers.
And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp. (Numbers 11:1)
Notice three things associated with complaining:
1. Complaining displeases the LORD
2. The LORD hears when we complain
3. Complaining angers the LORD
4. Complaining resulted in the LORD’s judgment, in this case fire!
Are you a perpetual complainer? If so, be reminded of the LORD’s attitude toward complaining! Below are some other related scriptures to consider.
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. (1 Corinthians 10:10)
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. (John 6:43)
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: (Philippians 2:14)
Replace your complaining with thankfulness and you will be reminded of how good the LORD is to you!
