Not Knowing The Things That Shall Befall Us

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Acts 20:22  The spiritual and physical chaos ongoing in our country today applies heavy pressure on our daily focus. To avoid being totally distracted by the things of this evil world, we need to lean more heavily upon the Lord and the Scripture. The daily news should not rule our day. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.  Psalm 31:24  If we truly lean on Him and spend meaningful time in His word, we will be able to say as did the apostle Paul: But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24
