A Note from Pastor Hewitt
Welcome to Heritage Baptist Church, we are so glad that you have chosen to meet together with us today. We desire to lift our voices in praise and worship unto the Lord, please join with us in making a joyful noise unto Him. We also want to break open the Word of Life, the Bible, God’s message to us, that we may know Him more. Our hope is to be encouraged, exhorted, convicted, and ministered to by the message from His Word. Psalm 122:1 says, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” My hope is that you will share that sentiment today.
Announcements
- Our VBS 2024 initial meeting took place last week following the morning service. The vision for this years outreach was presented plus the need for God’s people to make a commitment and join in the battle for the minds of our young people.
- We are almost there in our live-stream to Facebook initiative.
- The word “Amen” occurs 72 times in our King James Bible. It is used to affirm, and at time embrace, that which one has just heard. It is an encouragement to the preacher to hear an “Amen” from time to time when the word of God goes forth in this place. The first “Amen” in the Bible was said by a woman.
- Mother’s Day is the second Sunday in May.
