Who We Are

We hope that your time visiting with us via internet will be a blessing to you. Heritage is church the way it use to be. As you view each area, you will see that there is still a place where God’s word is faithfully preached, the gospel of salvation frequently presented and godly music provided to encourage thirsty souls seeking the truth of God’s inerrant word.

We are without apology a local New Testament church that is:

Fundamental

Confident belief in the inerrant and literal interpretation of the Bible and that it is as relevant today as the day it was written.

It is the sole authority for all matters of faith and its practice, as well as for daily living.

Bible Preaching & Teaching

Our only perfect source of revelation in regard to spiritual truth, and our textbook.

We preach and teach from the Bible in an expository way, that is, books or teachings of the Bible are read, explained according to the everyday meaning of the words unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.

We use the Kings James Version of the Bible, believing it to be the translation for English speaking peoples.

Christ Centered

As our all sufficient savior, we preach, teach and counsel only that which emanates from Him in His word.

From beginning to end the Bible exposes man’s sin, his inability to do deal with that sin and satisfy a holy God, and the need for a savior.

There is one and only one savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the center of God’s plan of salvation. It is in Him alone, no other, that one must trust for forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Independent

We are a local church, supporting ourselves through the grace of God in all matters of finance, polity, administration and worship.

We have no hierarchy or denomination to “strongly recommend” or detract from our testimony.

Premillennial In Hope

The Bible predicts a yet future time of tribulation for the unbelieving peoples of the earth.

The Bible also predicts that those who are alive at that time and have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior will be taken off the earth and into the presence of the Lord before that time known as the Tribulation period begins.

Our eschatology remains fixed as to our Lord’s return to Earth with His saints prior to establishing a literal 1,000 year reign of righteousness on earth.

We also are pretribulational, believing that our Lord will catch us up to be with Him before the tribulation on earth begins.

Evangelistic

The teaching whereby the local church and the believer are obedient to the command of Mark 16:15 “.Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

We are responsible to give forth the gospel and to give the people opportunity to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior from sin, when it is convenient and when it is not, whether by our personal witness or public invitation in the church.

An evangelistic (soul-winning) emphasis affects our prayer lives, our private lives, our vision, and is successful when accompanied by God’s power.

If you bring a lost person to our church, you can be assured that they will have the gospel woven into the message and be given opportunity to be saved.

Scriptural In Our Music – Rejecting The CCM Movement

We sing the traditional old hymns of the faith that are based on sound doctrine found in the Kings James Bible. We sing our hymns both with and without the accompaniment of a piano or organ. We sing the old hymns of worship and praise, always remembering that we are worshipping the Lord of Glory, singing to the LORD and not entertaining ourselves.

We believe that our music should always be honoring to the LORD and that it should prepare our hearts to commune with Him both during the singing and afterwards as we are fed from the word of God.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
